ORIGINAL ELVIS MUSICIANS
JIM MURRAY
Jim Murray was a member of the Imperials from ’66 until only a few years ago. He got to work with Elvis during the early Vegas years, where he sang backup on almost 200 shows in Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe and on the road. He also worked with Elvis in the studio, at Studio B in Nashville. He got to experience some of Elvis’ greatest moments, including that sensational comeback on July 31st, 1969. He also got to know the man upclose, in part because of a shared love for gospel music.
It is our genuine pleasure to have Jim and his wife Brenda performing exclusively at our shows in Europe. They knew Elvis like few others did, both personally and professionally, and their presence and musicality gives the show great authenticity. Especially the gospel performances are always a highlight at the shows, and Jim’s moving rendition of ‘Walk With Me’ always being a showstopper.
